Hurrah, I finally made it to County Durham for my long awaited visit to Summervilles Gundogs, and our good friends Julie and Darren. My visit was originally supposed to start on Thursday, but ten minutes after setting off for the airport, we were informed that the flight had been cancelled, and my ticket was transferred to the 8.50am flight on Friday. We arrived the next morning, an hour before the flight, and all was going fairly well, then came the delay, then the cancellation..................I rebooked for the 19.15 flight to Newcastle and spent the day in Southampton Airport, which I now know very well!!!!!!!!!!!

It was worth the wait, I spent 4 days with Julie and Darren, and all their lovely cockers, attending my first shoot on Saturday, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and am pleased to say I didn't let the side down!! I finally managed to choose our new puppy, a beautiful liver and tan cocker, who will be travelling south in March and we are delighted to be adding our final boy, Poacher,  to our canine family, thus giving us,  all the lines we would like to continue, in our future breeding programme. We will be setting up his page in the next few weeks, so keep an eye on the website. Thank you to Julie and Darren for making me feel so welcome and taking good care of me, we are looking forward to our return visit !!

Fund raising for Dogs for the Disabled is getting underway for 2010, which you can read about on our Fund Raising Activities Page. We will also be doing plenty of sponsered walking in the coming months and will update on our progress from time to time, and the walk dates will be posted on the Calendar on the website.
