Dogs for the Disabled...

As many of you know, we were delighted when we were approached by Dogs for the Disabled to ask if we would consider them assessing one of Ferns puppies, with a view to him being one of the first of several Working Cocker Spaniels to be trialled as an assistance dog in the Dogs for the Disabled training programme.

We are very proud to say that Raezhaven Farris AKA Vito passed his assessment at 5 weeks of age and has been accepted into the Dogs for the Disabled training programme. He will be leaving us on 25th August 2009 to start the next stage of his exciting journey.

We are thrilled to be able to donate a puppy to Dogs for the Disabled it is a welcome opportunity for us to 'give something back' and hopefully if Vito is successful, he will go on to make a dramatic change for the better to someones way of life. We will keep you updated with his progress.

Vito is doing well in his early socialisation programme and is a big hit with everyone he comes into contact with. You can see his pictures in the Photo Gallery. We are looking forward to the next update.
