Pedigree

This is Ghillie, bred by  Mrs Ali Nicholson-Haynes of Danalimatt Gundogs, he joined our family on 25 April 2008. Due to his early socialisation and Alis' hard work, he was a very well grounded pup, and exceptionally easy to train. Like a sponge he soaked up all the learning he could and really enjoyed all his play training.

It seem's like only yesterday he arrived, but he's now nearly two years old, and exceptionally handsome (I may be biased !). He has an outstanding temperament, he's gentle but has plenty of drive and loves to work. He hunts fast, no cover is too dense for him, and he'll retrieve anything, anytime, anywhere!!! In November 2008 we entered our first Test of Work at the West Berkshire Gundog Club. Ghillie was amazing and came 2nd out of 12 puppies, not bad for 8 months old.

He is learning his job well and we hope to have our first season beating and picking up in 2010. During the summer months, as well as keeping up with our gundog training, Ghillie will be learning agility and flyball, and we hope in the future to compete with him in one or both of these disciplines.

He is an absolute pleasure to own and very easy to live with, full of fun and everything you could expect from this wonderful example of the 'merry cocker'. Thanks Ali for producing such a lovely lad!!!
