Our Puppy Points.....

We normally only have one to two litters a year, so a first for us is to have two  working cocker litters at the same time. One on the 29th June 2009 and the other born on the 9th July 2009. All puppies from these two litters are now sold.

We are part of..

We are not a 'kennels',  we breed one to two litters a year and our puppies are born  indoors and raised in the home. All litter money is channelled back into maintenance of our dogs,  feeding them, improving their kennel facilities, giving them veterinary care,  carrying out all the relevant health screening, training them, and keeping them, in tip top condition.

Initially you can express an interest in one of our puppies by telephone or email. Once the litter is born, we then email all parties to see if they are still interested. The subsequent reservation and or sale of the puppy is decided after personal interview and meeting our criteria as a prospective 'parent' for one of our canine family.

ALL our puppies are sold under the following conditions:

  • All our breeding stock are Kennel Club registered
  • All our breeding stock are health screened relevant to their breed
  • We follow K.C. policy regarding maximum age and number/frequency of litters
  • All our breeding stock are microchipped and in some cases DNA profiled
  • All our puppies are well socialised, and health screend according to their breed requirements.
  • We provide a Puppy Sales Wallet on continuation of socialisation, exercise and future training
  • We provide written advice on feeding and worming programme and written records of immunisation required or taken

  • We provide post sales help and advice by phone
  • Each puppy is sold with a Contract of Sale explaining endorsements that might pertain to the puppy and also your puppy Registration Certificate
  • We also commit to help, if necessary, with the re-homing of your puppy or adult dog at anytime during the dog's lifetime.
  • We aim to breed good quality puppies, sound in body and of good temperament
  • All our puppies are sold with six weeks free insurance
  • We believe that the puppy is still our responsibility for all of its' life although they leave our care, we do not stop caring about  them and their well being
  • We like all our puppy owners to keep in touch when possible and let us know how they are progressing

A few puppy planning tips....

There are few things more appealing than puppies, but your decision to choose and purchase any puppy has to be made with your head, not just your heart.

We expect our puppy owners to:

Preferably have owned a dog before

Have ample time for exercise and training

Preferably not to have very young children, as puppies are hard work and time consuming

Not to be out of the house regularly for long periods of time, we generally do not sell our puppies to people who work full time

These are not hard and fast rules but they have served us as a good guide

Some questions you should ask of yourself and your family

Why do I want a dog, and this breed in particular?

Does my partner/family feel the same about having a dog as I do?

Who is going to take the greatest responsibility for the dog....feeding, walking, training, clearing up after accidents, bathing muddy coats etc.,etc.,

How will the dog fit in with the rest of the family and other family pets?

Will we continue with insurance, have we provision for vet bills?

Is your home and garden suitable for a boisterous young dog?

Who will look after the dog if you are ill or go on holiday?

Have you planned everything your new addition will need, i.e toys, crate, bedding, food?

Have you a good local vet and local puppy classes?

Have you the commitment and patience to give for the next, hopefully fifteen years or so, to your new member of the family?

A bit more help....

When we sell our puppies, we provide a diet sheet, a supply of food, worming advice, a piece of  bedding that smells of their Mum, and other relevant information on your puppy. We have found that when people come to collect their puppy, quite naturally, they are excited and this seems to take over so that the other advice we give at the time, on 'what to expect from your puppy' and 'what to do about it' sometimes is just to difficult to absorb. For this reason we have listed a few books that you might acquire for 'before' and 'after' your puppys' arrival, that may help you....

The Perfect Puppy - Gwen Bailey
The Dog Listener - Jan Fennell

All these books can be purchased from all major pet stores or borrowed from most large libraries.

We are of course, available to offer help and advice by phone
